Brow Lift
A Brow Lift or what is also commonly known as a forehead lift is a surgical procedure used to decrease the lines/wrinkles or sagging brow around the forehead. The procedure removes the part of the muscle that causes the vertical frown lines and also raises the eyebrows for a more youthful expression. As we grow older, our skin starts to sag and wrinkle which is unfortunately one of the natural processes of life. Surgical lifts such as a Brow Lift are designed to rejuvenate the skin for a smoother, tighter, more youthful appearance. This procedure lifts and tightens skin and muscle for a wrinkle free look that lasts.
During the Brow Lift treatment, incisions can be placed at the hairline, behind the hairline, above the brown or in the mid forehead region. There are several types of brow lifts available. A coronal lift is when an incision is made from ear to ear and the brow is then lifted. The endoscopic brow lift is where several small ½ inch to 1 inch incisions are made behind the hairline to lift the brow. This lift leaves scars that can be hidden easily by the hair. The least common form of brow lift surgery is the subcutaneous lift. For this procedure the incision is made across the top of the forehead (the incision is difficult to cover up and therefore generally the least popular method.) Brow Lifts are often used in conjunction with a surgical face lift.
Once the treatment is complete, patients may experience some side effects, but these subside quickly. Patients can feel confident that after undergoing a surgical Brow Lift, they’ll experience a smoother, younger looking appearance for years! Find out today which Brow Lift procedure is right for you.
