Endotine

Endotine is an implantable device that offers a less invasive lift for the forehead, mid-face and around the eyes. Often called the younger persons facelift, Endotine features Multi-Point Technology. Multipoint Technology means the implant will lift the tissue without sutures by providing multiple points of contact. These contact points are 3-5 prongs, or tines, in which the tissue is lifted on, thereby suspending or lifting the skin and muscle of the face. In addition the implant is bio-degradable and will dissolve over 6-12 months, leaving the lifted tissue to adhere itself to the bone at the higher position. Surgeons have the option of making incisions through the mouth, lower eyelid or just above the ear to insert the device and then lift the skin.

The implant will also permit for simple readjustments, giving more control to the surgeon for lift and shaping or contouring of the facial features. Areas that can be lifted are the cheek are (between the lower eyelids and the mouth), and the brows, removing wrinkled forehead lines and often giving the eye a more open look by lifting the eyelids.

The typical patient using Endotine is under 40, looking to turn the clock back 6-10 years and not ready for a majorly invasive surgical procedure. The request for quick less invasive surgeries have been on the rise within the last few years, making Endotine lifts very popular. This surgery reports decrease surgical time, using local or general anesthesia and improved outcomes. Postoperatively side effects include bruising or swelling. Some report they can feel the implant, however this goes away as the device dissolves. Healing time is generally completed in fewer than 2 weeks, however it could take up to 2 months for final results to be visible. As with any cosmetic procedure, only you and your certified physician will be able to determine if the Endotine lift is right for you.
