Fotofacial

Fotofacial is an Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatment brought to you by Syneron. This procedure uses broadband optical energy with radiofrequency. Visible light energy is absorbed by the pigment in the surface of the skin to stimulate collagen production. Fotofacial is effective in treating conditions such as pigmentation, rosacea, large pores, spider veins, broken capillaries, sunspots, and non pitted acne scars. The stimulated collagen production is also effective in giving the skin a firmer tighter appearance.

Treatment techniques require a cool gel be applied to clean skin and then the cold tip of the Fotofacial is touched to the skin as the radiofrequency light is administered. Procedure time takes from 20-45 minutes with minimal discomfort. 4-5 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart are generally needed for optimal results. Results are progressive, meaning each treatment builds on itself for better and better outcomes. Cost varies depending on the area treated, but are typically between $350- $600 per treatment.
