Invisalign is the new and improved way to straighten teeth for a perfect smile. Using a series of clear removable aligners to straighten teeth, Invisalign slowly repositions teeth exactly like traditional braces, but without the metal wires or brackets. Each set of clear invisible aligners are worn for about two weeks, users only remove them to eat, drink and brush and floss teeth. After two weeks, the aligners will be replaced with the next set, each set is designed to move your teeth little by little so that eventually they’ll have straightened out and formed your desired smile.
So how does Invisalign work? An orthodontic dentist trained specifically for Invisalign will utilize 3D computer imaging technology that will demonstrate how your teeth will go from their current position to their final position. This imagery will be used to create custom aligners specific to your individual teeth. The aligners are clear in color and nearly invisible to the eye; patients normally get used to them very quickly and hardly notice they are even there.
Aligners will be replaced every two weeks and treatment can last anywhere from 9 to 15 months depending on the severity of your case.
