Rhytec Portrait
Rhytec has developed a new laser using plasma technology called the Portrait. One of the newest lasers in the skin rejuvenation lasers, Portrait works by delivering nitrogen plasma energy to both the surface and below the skin surface to effectively modify the skin architecture and stimulate collagen remodeling. This treatment is recommended to reduce wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation, and improve skin texture and tone. The plasma is an ionized gas which effectively stimulates new collagen growth beneath the surface of the skin to immediately reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. The skin regenerates above and below the surface with the average recovery time of one week. Portrait offers deep skin rejuvenation, however a milder treatment can be done by adjusting the intensity for a shorter recovery time of approximately 3 days. Ongoing improvements have been reported for a year following the treatment, as the new collagen continues to grow. 15 minutes is the approximate time to treat an entire face. As mentioned before, the recovery time depends on the intensity setting of the laser giving the patient the option of having one to four treatments with 1-2 days of recovery or one intense treatment with a 10 day downtime.
