Skin tightening is a non-invasive aesthetic treatment that utilizes the Titan® which is an infrared light treatment that heats the deep tissue layers of the skin to bring about skin tightening. The light energy is able to work not only on facial tissues but also on the abdomen and arms to firm and tighten the skin. This treatment is most commonly referred to as skin tightening but sometimes is also called a non-surgical facelift.
During the treatment the laser light will penetrate through the outer layers of skin and into the dermis below. As the deep tissue is heated, collagen is naturally produced which helps to plump sagging skin for a smoother, tighter appearance. The Titan® reports a more evenly distributed energy to the deep dermis that can be used on any skin type and age group. Results are subtle and can be seen immediately after treatment with minimal to no downtime and minimal side effects. The most common side effects are a sensation of heat that quickly dissipates and mild redness and swelling. 2-3 treatments are the typical protocol for this procedure and results from each treatment make it cumulative.
